Before they drive
to the abortion clinic
In 2006, 7,000 abortions were performed in Oklahoma. Thanks to efforts of pregnancy clinics like Crossroads, the abortion rate went down to 4,500 in 2014. Then, in May of 2022, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed into law H.B. 4327, a citizen-enforced total ban on abortion that took effect immediately upon signature. A month later, the Supreme Court of the United States overturned the 1973 Roe vs. Wade ruling that made abortion a constitutional right. Despite these victories for the unborn in our state and the nation, Oklahoma women are still seeking abortions, most often in states where they are legal such as Kansas, Colorado, and New Mexico. Crossroads Clinic was established to give women considering abortion in these neighboring states somewhere to go before they decide. Here, women are empowered with information and truth. They find hope, care, support and an opportunity to meet Christ.
When a woman comes to Crossroads, we share the truth about abortion and the unborn.
The medical team at Crossroads provides free ultrasounds that allow a new mother to connect with her unborn baby for the first time. For many women, seeing their unborn child results in a decision to continue with the pregnancy. For those who are open, we share the Gospel and the truth that they are loved by Christ the Creator of Life.
Women in our area are searching the internet every day for abortion services.
Crossroads Clinic uses an outreach website and online advertising to reach women most vulnerable – or even determined – to get an abortion. When they schedule appointments at our center, we can provide them with accurate information on all their options. Fetal development, abortion risks, adoption options, parenting choices, and so much more is covered at every visit.
The women who come to Crossroads need more than just counseling about their situation.
They often need medical referrals and other support for the challenges they face. Crossroads provides the encouragement they need to continue their pregnancy, as well as material and educational support to help. For any woman who struggles with a past abortion, we offer compassion while we lead them to the forgiveness and healing power of Christ.
